The Current State Of Customer Experience - Mistitled Research/Dumbass - by Bruce Temkin
Temkin Group Insight Report summary, you can buy the entire report for $195. Here's the thing. They surveyed a bunch of people and then called the results "The Current State of Customer Experience", once again repeating the most common research mistake. This isn't about objective reality. It's about the survey respondents OPINIONS of the state of customer experience. Sorry, even though they all do it, it's dumbass. (Added: 8-Dec-2010 Hits: 72 )

CHART OF THE DAY: The Most Successful Facebook Ads (Idiot Post) - by Matt Rosoff |
A completely misleading and idiotic post that confuses expenditures with revenue, and clicks (CTR) with success. Great example of why you should read and THINK, and not take an author's conclusions at face value. This is so bad it's not funny. (Added: 1-Feb-2011 Hits: 298 )

Promoted Tweets Are Super Effective, Advertiser Says - by Robin Wauters
Just plain bad, and misleading. Read the comments. Sorry, But McDonald's Did Not See a 33% Increase in Foot Traffic Because of Foursquare - by Frederic Lardinois
According to a current headline on TechMeme, McDonalds saw a 33% increase in foot traffic to its stores when it ran a promotion during Foursquare Day earlier this year. At that time, the fast food chain offered users who checked into McDonald's a chance to win $5 and $10 gift cards. On the Econsultancy blog, Meghan Keane reports that McDonald's head of social media Rick Wion claims that ",with this one little effort [$1000 in gift cards], we were able to get a 33% increase in foot traffic to the stores." Clearly, though, these numbers simply don't add up (Added: 17-Sep-2010 Hits: 46 )

Why should brands bother with Twitter? This table says why | Social Media Today - by Rabbit
This is just bad work, because it's so incomplete. They don't mention the chances of any one person actually reading what you tweet is close to zero, for example. (Added: 21-Aug-2010 Hits: 37 )

Twitter Followers Most Brand Responsive - by marketing charts
Take a look at this research supposedly from exacttarget. How do they know what they are reporting? Unless they followed people around and recorded buying behavior, they had to use self-reports. The results in this report are completely bogus. (Added: 18-Sep-2010 Hits: 56 )

Twitter: 10 Insights from Psychology - by No Idea Who
An absolute disgrace of an article on Twitter that offers almost no psychology, and contains inaccuracies. The very first sentence shows how lacking the writer is about Twitter. There are not 190 million users. Accounts and users are not the same thing. (Added: 1-Sep-2010 Hits: 39 )

SocialTwist 2010 Trends Report Twitter crushes Facebook (Arggg. In clickthrus only) - by Michael Crosson
Amazingly stupid post and irrelevant data. What it says is that clickthru rates are higher on Twitter. Guys, money is spent per click, so the higher the clickthru the higher the expense. Come on. It's about sales, boys and girls, unless you work for Twitter. (Added: 23-Dec-2010 Hits: 127 )
